Good Love is on the Way

Everything has a limit. Even the universe
has heat death. This does not help with the blinding
light. And there is so much
                                                to drink:

Just look at everything that can be found inside any one piece of art.

I do not have a mind-palace.
Instead, I store
what it is to be a movement.

All my life is collecting in this way—the shape
water takes blown out the mouth
of a nude model.

Have you ever seen dew collect on a rose?

I do not get paid enough for this. And I’ve never
seen a Sequoia tree.

You must be there early enough, before the water
has given way to sunfire. Before
            that change.

Every time I see a stack of crushed cars it feels like a metaphor.

I’ll let you make of that what you will.
