BRECK SCHOOL STAFF

Amelia Wachs is currently a junior at Breck School. She loves to write, read, and has a super creative mind. She is an avid swimmer, does track and field, and loves to stay active whenever possible. She participates in the school’s literary magazine, Ars Nova and hopes that by also being a student editor of Up North Lit, she can create lasting connections through the power of writing and art.

Milena Vandover is a junior at Breck School. She loves to read and write, and participates in many school activities including being a student editor of Up North Lit. She is also involved in many sports including cross country running, nordic skiing, and track and field. She hopes to foster connection with others through her love of reading, writing, and education.

Mary Thornton is a junior at Breck school. While being a student editor of Up North Lit, she also dances competitively and participates in other school sports and clubs, such as softball and yearbook. She hopes to inspire others to share their love for writing and to expose younger students to the many possibilities within writing.

Lulu McGarry is a senior at Breck School. She loves to read and is an Editor in the school's literary magazine Ars Nova. She does many sports and activities including dance, soccer, and track. One thing she hopes to accomplish through this partnership is connecting with different communities over writing and art.

Rudo Zishiri is currently a senior at Breck school in Golden Valley, Minnesota. She is a student leader of Up North Lit. Anyone who knows her knows that she loves literature and has a deep appreciation for art. Although she’s never written a book, she does plan to publish a book of poems in the not-too-distant future. When she’s not at school she enjoys writing poems, talking to herself, and eating snacks. Her favorite superheroes are Ironman and Spiderman, and she LOVES cookies & cream ice cream. She hopes to learn to work well with others to maintain a literary magazine and improve her poetry-editing skills.

Helen Maher is a senior at Breck School and a student editor of Up North Lit. He is an editor of Breck’s literary magazine Ars Nova and an avid reader. Helen is interested in anything arts related but mainly focuses on music, theater, and poetry. Through partnering with Up North Lit he hopes to create connections in the Minneapolis art scene and help young artists flourish.

Alexander Winn is a present day Senior, and has attended Breck School since preschool. His engagement with creation and writing has influenced interest in following his time in high school with an education for art, at this current moment Animation appeals the most for him. Due to his knowledge in graphic design, he joined Up North Lit to help edit the visuals of the website. To know more about Alex, being a connoisseur of music, his favorite artists are: Porter Robinson, Windows96, Cynthoni, and ２８１４.
