stuck on repeat
In the artwork "Stuck on Repeat", I attempted to portray the layout of my room in a black and white medium. During the pandemic, I spent the majority of my time in my room. During these days, I felt like there was an infinite repeating cycle where there was nothing new or interesting about my life. The artwork is taken from the perspective of me upright on my bed where my day usually begins. From this perspective, we see very thick black pencil lines circling the portal/mirror on my wall. This represents the hallucination of my perceptions and a distorted reality that never ends. We as students are all effected differently because of the pandemic, but personally, as represented in this artwork, it was a time where my life was the most depressing.
