a whale’s tale

In this piece, I drew a gray whale named Noah. His mother was a victim of illegal whale hunting, yet he is still more concerned about the deteriorating ecosystem. Famous for making long journeys, he left the Bay Area and began a long journey across the Pacific Ocean. If people make efforts to protect the ocean against harmful pollutants, it will help sea creatures to live in a cleaner environment. Of course, such efforts will also help humans too. But if humans continue to pollute the environment, it will ultimately come back to haunt them. Although seemingly improbable to achieve, Noah has a dream. If you are willing to support Noah, I hope that you will help protect the environment so that Noah can continue my journey. Natural dyes from indigofera tinctoria plants were used to reflect the shades of deep midnight blue and violet of Indigo through silk-screen printing. The use of natural dyes emphasizes ideologies of environmental protection by opposing the use of chemicals and dyes that are harmful to the environment.
